About the Role We're seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to provide essential clinical and administrative support to our experienced dentists. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure every patient receives outstanding care while contributing to our practice's continued success and growth in our modern Townsville facility.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- At least one year of relevant work experience
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for outstanding patient service
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to learn dental software and embrace new technology
- Team-oriented mindset and collaborative spirit
- Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist dentists and Oral Health Therapists during procedures by preparing instruments, mixing materials, and maintaining a pristine work environment
- Welcome patients warmly, manage documentation, and coordinate appointments
- Sterilize and maintain dental equipment following strict infection control protocols
- Process X-rays and maintain accurate, detailed patient records
- Provide clear post-treatment instructions and address patient questions with care
- Ensure operatories are fully stocked and prepared for each appointment
