What you’ll do: 

  • Own end-to-end delivery of integration and API solutions — from requirements shaping and solution design through to build, deployment and ongoing optimisation across the Azure integration platform
  • Design, build and support scalable integrations and APIs using Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, APIM, Event Grid), ensuring high performance, security and reliability
  • Take accountability for the integration platform — proactively monitoring, tuning and improving performance, cost, stability and reuse across the enterprise
  • Guide and uplift the team through hands-on leadership, providing technical direction, design assurance and mentoring while contributing directly to complex delivery
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape integration demand and solutions, translating business needs into practical, scalable outcomes and driving continuous improvement in data integration maturity


What we are looking for:  

  • Proven experience in a hands-on integration or API lead role, owning delivery end-to-end across design, build, deployment and ongoing platform support
  • Deep expertise in the Azure integration ecosystem (Logic Apps, Functions, APIM) with a strong track record building secure, scalable and reliable integration solutions
  • Strong API and integration design capability, including lifecycle management, security, versioning and working across common integration patterns and protocols
  • Experience supporting and evolving a live integration platform, including performance tuning, monitoring, optimisation and driving reuse across the enterprise
  • Ability to balance hands-on engineering with team guidance and stakeholder engagement, naturally mentoring others while shaping requirements and influencing outcomes

We are a State-Owned Corporation established under the WaterNSW Act 2014 and operates under an Operating Licence issued and monitored by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART). 

We do this through: 

Source water protection: protection of the Greater Sydney drinking water catchment to ensure safe water is supplied to Sydney Water, local councils and other distributors for treatment and distribution to their customers. 

Bulk water supply: supply water from our storages to customers in the Greater Sydney drinking water catchment and in the state’s regulated surface water systems.

Infrastructure planning, delivery and operation:  meet customer-defined levels of service consistent with NSW Government policy and priorities to increase the security and reliability of water supplies to our customers and communities of NSW. 

Customer water transaction and information services: provide efficient and timely services to our customers for water licensing and approvals, water trades, billing and meet their water resource information needs for surface and groundwater quantity and quality.
