What you will do:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including ramen, broths, toppings, and side dishes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Examine and evaluate ingredients to ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage in line with kitchen standards
- Operate and regulate kitchen equipment such as noodle machines, boilers, grills, and fryers to maintain precise cooking conditions
- Portion, season, and plate dishes according to established recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Assist in the preparation of stocks, sauces, and core ramen components, including broth preparation and noodle handling
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities and follow stock rotation practices to minimise waste
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with Australian food safety standards
- Assist with daily food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties to support smooth kitchen operations
- Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements where required
What you should have:
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a Japanese or ramen-focused kitchen, or a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Sound knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations in Australia
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and commitment to quality and consistency
