Due to continued growth in our business, we are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

As a Cook, you will support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

As a Cook, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  1. Preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with recipes and standards
  2. Assisting in food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
  3. Ensuring consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
  4. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations
  5. Following food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  6. Assisting with stock control, storage, and rotation of ingredients
  7. Working efficiently during busy service periods
  8. Supporting senior kitchen staff and collaborating with team members
  9. Minimising food waste and ensuring proper use of ingredients

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as a Cook
  3. Good knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
  4. Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  6. Good communication skills
  7. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  8. A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  9. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  10. Creativity and enthusiasm for food
  11. Being able to think creatively and come up with new and exciting dishes or variations existing ones
