We are looking for a dedicated Cook with a passion for high-quality meals and a flair for presentation to join our team!
Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum
Role: Full time
Location: Penrith NSW 2750
Main Duties:
·Prepare, season, cook, and present a wide range of dishes, including pastas, pizzas, meats, seafood, salads, and entrees, following set recipes and portion guidelines.
·Check ingredients and food items before use to ensure freshness, quality, and suitability for preparation.
·Portion meals accurately, plate them neatly, and add sauces, gravies, or garnishes for visual appeal and taste.
·Maintain clean and organised workstations, ensuring utensils and surfaces are sanitised throughout service.
·Set and adjust temperatures on ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment to ensure even and precise cooking.
·Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
·Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials.
Skills & Qualifications:
·Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement).
·Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen.
·Proven experience preparing and presenting a variety of modern Australian dishes.
·Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness standards.
·Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
·Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
·Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute creatively to the menu.
