Role overview
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and confident in preparing high‑quality food for a busy venue. You will work closely with our kitchen and bakery team to ensure excellent product quality and smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food in accordance with menu and quality standards
- Examining food items to ensure quality and freshness before use
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
- Portioning food, plating dishes, and adding gravies, sauces, or garnishes as required
- Storing food safely in temperature‑controlled environments
- Preparing food for special dietary requirements when needed
- Assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements
- Training or guiding junior kitchen staff when required
About you
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar cooking role
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation
- Ability to work efficiently and independently during busy periods
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic
- A valid driver’s licence and own transport

Relevant Certificate III or IV qualifications in Cookery are highly desirable.
