We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. You will play a key role in preparing delicious meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

·Prepare, cook, and present a range of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and hot meals, ensuring high standards in taste, freshness, and presentation

·Assist in menu planning and development, contributing ideas for seasonal specials and signature dishes that reflect Japanese cuisine and customer preferences

·Monitor stock levels of seafood, ingredients, and kitchen supplies, placing orders as required and ensuring proper storage to maintain quality and minimise waste

·Ensure all food preparation and kitchen operations comply with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements

·Supervise kitchen assistants and junior staff, providing training and guidance to ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to kitchen standards

·Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including food preparation areas, equipment, and storage spaces, in line with health regulations

·Work closely with management and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily operations, efficient service, and a high level of customer satisfaction

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

·Hold a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent

·Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Cook

·Knowledge of Japanese cuisine

·Strong work ethic and positive attitude

·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·Team player with good communication skills

·Availability on weekends and evenings

·Good knife skills
