Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Administrator to support the delivery of our construction projects. This role is responsible for managing contract administration processes, ensuring compliance with contractual and legislative requirements, and coordinating with key stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Role Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contracts and contract variations in accordance with project requirements, company policies, and relevant legislation
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to support contract negotiations and facilitate effective project delivery
• Manage and maintain accurate contract documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and assess contractual risks and provide recommendations to minimise potential exposure
• Review contract-related insurance requirements to ensure appropriate coverage and compliance
• Respond to contract-related enquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor contractor performance and oversee work progress, reporting on variations to work orders and project outcomes
• Manage contract renewals, extensions, and terminations to ensure consistency and continuity of agreements
• Prepare and review reports and submissions relating to contract performance and project activities
• Provide guidance to project teams by interpreting contract terms and conditions to support informed decision-making
Requirements:
Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in Construction Management, or a related field; or alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications
Demonstrated experience in a Contract Administrator or similar role, preferably within the construction industry
Strong understanding of contract administration processes in residential and/or commercial projects
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and completing priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Teams) and familiarity with project management or contract management systems
High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
