We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team based in Belconnen, ACT. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to meaningful projects in a supportive, sustainability-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist civil engineers and project teams in the planning and delivery of residential and commercial developments
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and documentation using CAD software for earthworks, grading, drainage, and foundation designs
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with engineering designs
- Estimate material quantities, costs, and construction timelines
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to support project coordination
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards, codes, and environmental best practices
- Maintain accurate project records and technical reports
Skills and Experience
- Qualifications: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience: At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a civil engineering technician role (post-qualification), ideally with exposure to residential subdivisions, townhouse developments, or commercial civil works
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian engineering standards, drainage, earthworks, and foundation design
- Other: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
