Company Overview:

Affordable Balustrades Pty Ltd is a Perth-based company specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom balustrades, handrails, staircases, and architectural metal structures for residential and commercial construction projects. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team and assist with producing precise technical drawings and documentation for fabrication and installation.

Position:

Permanent Full Time

Salary Package:

AUD 85,000 + super / per year

Job description and responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed CAD / AutoSketch drawings for balustrades, staircases, handrails and structural metal components
2. Produce accurate shop drawings and fabrication drawings for workshop manufacturing
3. Prepare layouts, dimensions, and material specifications for construction and fabrication
4. Modify drawings based on project changes, site measurements, and engineering instructions
5. Coordinate with builders, engineers, and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
6. Maintain accurate drafting records and project documentation

Skill & Experience:

1. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson or in a similar drafting role will be highly regarded
2. Relevant qualification such as Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design or equivalent
3. Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoSketch, or equivalent drafting tools
4. In depth knowledge of construction drawings and balustrade design detailing
5. Accurate, analytical, and flexible, with strong numerical skills
6. Review and prepare drawings to ensure compliance with applicable Australian Standards, building regulations, and client requirements.
7. Strong English communication skills are required; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
