Civil Engineering Draftsperson

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

Intelligent Structures Pty Ltd is a Construction Management and Builder in Sydney offering comprehensive and extensive services of high quality residential and commercial structures. Intelligent Structures Firm provides all management, consultancy and supervision services from the project inception including preliminary designs, feasibility studies and building to the final execution and closeout steps.

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and supporting the development of detailed civil drawings and documentation for various construction projects. This role will assist engineers and project managers by producing accurate technical plans, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring documentation aligns with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, plans, and documentation using CAD and drafting software under the guidance of engineers.

·Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design briefs to produce accurate and compliant technical drawings.

·Assist in the preparation of design layouts, sections, elevations, earthworks plans, drainage plans, and structural detailing.

·Revise and update drawings based on engineer or project manager feedback to ensure accuracy and project alignment.

·Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate design information and resolve drafting-related queries.

·Assist in compiling documentation packages, including drawings, schedules, and technical submissions for approval.

·Conduct site visits, when required, to collect measurements, verify existing conditions, and support accurate drafting outputs.

·Ensure that all drawings and documentation adhere to industry standards, local regulations, and company quality control procedures.

·Maintain drawing registers, documentation logs, and version control for efficient project coordination.

·Identify potential drafting or design inconsistencies and communicate them to engineers to support timely project completion.

Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

Education : Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in related field

Australian Experience : At least 3 + years of Australian Experience OR

Overseas Experience : At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience

Specialist : Draftsperson - Civil Engineering

Work Rights : Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
