Qualifications & experience
- At least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, preferably an additional Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Hospitality.
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment for at least 3 years.
- Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and types of equipment
- Detailed knowledge of food and produce

- Skilfully prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian dishes, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality, flavour, and presentation.
- Utilize fresh ingredients to create dishes that reflect authentic Indian culinary techniques and flavours.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering of fresh ingredients.
- Developing recipes and determining how to present the food
- Regularly monitor and enforce sanitation practices within the kitchen, ensuring all staff follow proper food handling and safety protocols.
- Participate in training sessions to educate team members on best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
