Overview:
We are busy wedding and events venues seeking an experienced Chef to join our team. This is a
full-time role, where restaurant opens for 7 days. There will be shift allocated and should be ready for late nights and during events.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and present high-quality Indian cuisine for weddings and large events
Maintain consistency, portion control and compliance with food safety standards
Oversee mise en place, service, quality control and end-of-shift pack-down
Assist with ordering, stock rotation and minimising wastage
Coordinate with the kitchen team to meet event run sheets and timelines
Requirements:
Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
3 year's relevant experience (Indian cuisine and/or banquets/events)
Strong understanding of food presentation, timing and volume service
Available for evenings/weekends; works well under pressure in a team
