About the role
The Mustard Seed Murray Bridge is seeking TWO talented and experienced Chefs to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Murray Bridge, South Australia. As our Chef, you will be responsible for creating and delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests, while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and kitchen operations.
What you'll be doing
Creating, innovating and planning Menus.
Plan, prepare and cook a variety of high-quality, innovative dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
Manage the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal utilisation of resources
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food preparation and service
Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus that showcase the best local and seasonal produce
Train, mentor and supervise kitchen staff to uphold the quality and consistency of our culinary offerings
Participate in inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies and ingredients
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
Formal culinary training or a recognised qualification(Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/ Diploma of Hospitality Management)
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
Creative and innovative approach to menu development and food preparation
Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to create exceptional dining experiences
