About the Role

Ingham Lodge is a welcoming aged care home located in regional Queensland, where residents are supported in a warm, community-focused environment.

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Working as part of a supportive hospitality team, you will be responsible for food preparation, service delivery and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys meaningful work, a supportive team environment, and making a genuine difference every day.

No two days are the same! As Chef you will:

  • Prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals in line with menu requirements
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with dietary needs and texture-modified requirements
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Support menu planning and continuous improvement of food services
  • Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and care teams to meet resident needs

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

  • Trade qualification as a Chef (or relevant experience)
  • Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or hospitality (aged care highly regarded)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Understanding of special diets and texture-modified meals (desirable)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A team-focused approach with a positive attitude
  • A genuine passion for cooking and enhancing the dining experience for older Australians
