Our venues are high-volume, vibrant spaces that pride themselves on exceptional service and hand-crafted, high-quality cuisine.
We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will work closely with our culinary leadership to maintain the high standards of food preparation and presentation that our guests expect. This is an ongoing position based at our Cavan site.
Main Tasks:
-Collaborates with the executive chef to direct food preparation.
-Helps design the food and drink menu.
-Produces high-quality plates, considering both design and taste.
-Oversees and supervises the kitchen team.
-Assists with menu planning, inventory, and supply management.
-Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
-Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
-Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
-Minimum of a relevant Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher qualification.
-At least one year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
-Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
-Experience in menu planning, stock control, and effective food cost management.
-Proven ability to lead, train, and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
-Ability to develop seasonal menus and daily specials that align with the Zeea’s brand.
-Competence in using digital management systems for inventory tracking, wastage reporting, and menu updates.
-Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with management.
Annual salary will be between $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
