Position Description:

  1. Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu and customer preferences.
  2. Ensure dishes are prepared with the highest quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
  3. Collaborate on menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and creative ideas.
  4. Develop and test new recipes while maintaining the authenticity of Italian cuisine.
  5. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
  6. Monitor and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
  7. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  8. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to improve skills and efficiency.
  9. Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation expectations before they are served.
  10. Conduct regular checks to maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
  11. Occasionally engage with guests to receive feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  12. Adjust recipes or offerings based on customer preferences or special dietary needs.
  13. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food.
  14. Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and maintain a safe kitchen environment.

  6. Availability 7 days a week including days/nights/weekends/split shifts and public holidays

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of experience within the hospitality industry.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
