Chef Positions – Full Time (2 Roles Available)

Location: Boronia, VIC

Business: The Flavour Gallery

The Flavour Gallery, located in Boronia, VIC, is seeking two qualified and experienced Chefs to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Salary: Range =$76,000 to 80,000 per annum + Superannuation

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to menu development in a busy and professional setting.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

· Australian trade qualification (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery) and Diploma or higher in Hospitality/Management

· Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a Chef in Australia

· Experience in Italian Cuisine is necessary.

· Ability to prepare all dishes displayed on menu as well as wide ranging specials from different cuisines.

· Experience in catering for functions will be an advantage

· Experience in planning menus, developing recipes, preparing, cooking and maintaining food quality

· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

· Instruct cooks and other kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.

· Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

· Select and train kitchen staff as and when required

· Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and use kitchen appliances and equipment safely.

· Ability to maintain a COVID safe workplace.

· May need to work varied shifts as also on weekends

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with menu requirements

· Develop and contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials

· Supervise and train kitchen staff as required

· Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation

· Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment

· Follow workplace health and safety and food safety standards
