Our Barangaroo venue offers a stunning waterfront dining experience within one of Sydney’s most vibrant precincts.
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate full-time Chef to join our team at our Barangaroo location.
About the Role
This is a full-time position responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining consistency in food standards, and contributing to the overall kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
- Assisting in menu planning and development, including seasonal updates
- Ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Supervising and guiding kitchen staff where required
- Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes
- Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Inspecting raw ingredients and ensuring proper storage of food
- Working collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent qualification
- At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A passion for food and delivering high-quality dining experiences
