To support operational requirements and maintain its reputation for high-quality dining experiences, Zuma Caffe is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join its dynamic kitchen team. This hands-on role is essential for preparing and cooking a diverse range of dishes, maintaining consistent quality, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Salary Range: $75,000–$80,000 AUD

Location: 56 Gouger Street, Adelaide, SA 5000

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, prepare, and cook menu items, including burgers, sides, breakfast and lunch dishes, ensuring high-quality meals that meet customer expectations.
  2. Independently manage portioning, presentation, and quality consistency across all service periods.
  3. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations during à la carte and function services, including delegating tasks and monitoring workflow.
  4. Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all cooking processes comply with operational standards.
  5. Develop and refine menu offerings in collaboration with senior kitchen staff, contributing to innovation, seasonal specials, and efficient kitchen workflows.
  6. Manage stock levels, ordering, and storage, implementing measures to reduce food waste and control costs.
  7. Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards across all kitchen operations.
  8. Assist senior chefs in mentoring and training junior kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
