The Opportunity

UVS Group Pty Ltd is an established service leader currently expanding into the manufacturing and construction sectors. We are seeking a seasoned, high-capacity Carpenter to join our Hornsby workshop and help drive this new division.

This is a high-reward role designed for a professional who thrives under pressure. We need a technician who can maintain elite standards across a 50–60 hour work week while helping us establish a reputation for manufacturing excellence.

Key Requirements

1. Experience: A minimum of 1 year proven experience as a professional Carpenter, with a track record in high-intensity construction environments.
2. Qualifications: Must hold at least Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent. Significant relevant work experience that serves as a direct substitute for formal certification will be highly regarded.
3. Physical Capability: Must be comfortable and capable of performing high-quality work in varied physical environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist qualified carpenters on residential construction and renovation projects across Sydney.
2. Perform timber framing and install doors, windows, skirting boards, and other structural and finishing elements.
3. Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials according to site drawings and supervisor instructions.
4. Install flooring, wall frames, and basic cabinetry components.
5. Operate a range of hand and power tools including circular saws, nail guns, drills, and sanders.
6. Support site preparation, material handling, and general construction tasks to ensure efficient workflow on site.
7. Follow Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
8. Work closely with builders, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
9. Assist with quality checks to ensure carpentry work meets project specifications and standards.
