Rare opportunity for a qualified Carpenter with formwork experience to join our Hicrete Precast team.

The Role
This is a hands-on and full-time role for an experienced, ambitious Carpenter to assist the team in constructing, assembling, modifying, and repairing formwork and molds used in the production of precast concrete products. More specifically, this includes:
Formwork Construction & Assembly
·Construct, assemble, and strip timber, steel, and composite formwork for precast concrete products.
·Accurately measure, cut, shape, and fix materials in accordance with shop drawings and specifications.
·Build custom forms and moulds to suit project and production requirements.
·Install block-outs, bulkheads, chamfers, rebates, cast-in items, and other form accessories.
·Ensure formwork is square, level, structurally sound, and ready for concrete placement.
·Operate work on elevated platform such as forklifts and ladders.
·Inspect formwork for wear, damage, or dimensional issues.
·Repair, modify, and maintain formwork to ensure longevity and quality output.
·Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Workplace Health & Safety Compliance
·Follow all safety procedures and report violations or incidences immediately to management.
· Maintain tools and equipment by cleaning and checking for defects.
·Follow instructions for safe equipment handling.
·Comply with all WHS legislation, site procedures, and company policies.
·Use PPE correctly and maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area
·Ensure formwork meets quality standards.
Teamwork & Production Support
·Work collaboratively with supervisors, production staff, quality, and engineering teams.
·Support daily and weekly production targets and schedules.
·Assist with general carpentry and production tasks as required.
·Provide guidance or on-the-job support to colleagues when required.
·Maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Candidate
·Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in precast concrete or industrial construction.
·Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III)
·Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and methods.
·Ability to read and understand drawings.
·Accurate measuring and layout skills.
·Attention to detail.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Physically capable of lifting materials, standing for long periods, and working in a manufacturing environment.
Desired
·Drivers license.
·Experience in precast concrete manufacturing.
·Familiarity with steel formwork systems.
·Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
