M2 Interiors Pty Ltd, trading as Gyprock Master, is a growing interiors renovation company specialising in high-quality residential and commercial fit-outs. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team.
About the Role
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures using timber, plywood, wallboard, and other materials in accordance with project specifications and Australian standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and project plans
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials
- Construct and install frameworks, partitions, ceilings, and flooring
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinetry, and gyprock systems
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of existing structures
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with project managers and other trades on-site
Essential Requirements
- Relevant carpentry qualification obtained in Australia (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in carpentry or interior fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Valid White Card
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in interior renovation or gyprock installation
- Knowledge of Australian building standards and WHS requirements
- Driver’s licence
