Khoos Trading Pty Ltd, trading as Alphapet, is an established pet care company operating in Australia. We specialise in pet grooming and pet boarding services and currently operates multiple centres across Victoria.
We are currently recruiting for our Mornington centre, which focuses exclusively on cat boarding services. Due to ongoing business operations and business growth, we are now seeking an experienced Boarding Cattery Manager to join our team and support the continued success of the centre.
Annual Salary: $82,000 plus superannuation contributions
Duties and responsibilities of the Boarding Cattery Manager:
ㆍLead and oversee the daily operations of the boarding cattery to ensure efficient and high-quality cat boarding services.
ㆍSelect, supervise, and train staff responsible for feeding, cleaning, and caring for boarded cats, ensuring consistent service standards.
ㆍMonitor the health, wellbeing, and behaviour of cats in the facility and ensure appropriate care procedures are implemented.
ㆍSupervise and coordinate staff handling customer bookings, enquiries, and check-in/check-out procedures to ensure efficient operations and a positive client experience.
ㆍEstablish and maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety within the cattery facility.
ㆍDevelop and implement operational procedures and staff routines to ensure smooth workflow and consistent service quality.
ㆍMonitor inventory levels of cat food, litter, bedding, and other supplies, and coordinate purchasing when required.
ㆍOversee the management of customer feedback and service issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement in service quality.
ㆍEnsure the cattery operates in compliance with relevant animal welfare regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and company policies.
ㆍReport operational performance to management and contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality and operational efficiency.
The applicant must have the following required skills and experience:
Qualification
At least a Diploma
Experience
At least three years relevant working experiences
Essential Skills
ㆍStrong background in cattery management and pet care operations.
ㆍKnowledge of animal welfare, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
ㆍExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with staff leadership experience.
ㆍCustomer-focused, able to manage bookings, enquiries, and feedback professionally.
ㆍHighly organised, with strong time management and decision-making skills.
ㆍAbility to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
ㆍProven ability to lead and motivate a team to maintain high standards of care.
