About the Organisation
Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) provides a range of high quality, integrated and inclusive programs and services to individuals, families, and the wider community. Our work spans across the whole age spectrum from children, young people, adults and older Canberrans. CRCS works with community members, local organisations, and businesses to develop responsive programs, services and activities that support self-determination and reduce social isolation. With strong relations with government and other community services, CRCS’s vision is to create an inclusive, connected community.
About the Opportunity
As a Director, you will play a vital role in guiding the organisation’s strategic direction, overseeing financial and operational performance, aged care governance and contributing to key decisions.
You’ll be joining a team of collaborative, professional, and forward-thinking members who value active engagement and shared purpose. We are looking for individuals who are ready to contribute meaningfully, uphold CRCS’s values, and help shape a stronger future for the communities we serve.
The Board meets monthly, with some additional engagements as needed throughout the year. On average, we estimate a time commitment of approximately 4–5 hours per month.

As part of our commitment to child safeguarding, we require all volunteers and employees to undergo relevant screening processes, including holding a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for NSW and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check in the ACT. This role is classified as key personnel for the provision of aged care services and preferred applicants will be required to undergo initial and annual suitability checks which include National Criminal History, ASIC Banned and Disqualified, Personal Insolvency amongst other checks that are required from time to time. Preferred applicants will need to have a current Director Identification Number.
