We are looking for an experienced Blast Crew to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Goldfields, WA operations. This is a long-term project for SRG Global having been the drilling and blasting contractor onsite since 2012.

• Full Time position
• Roster: 2:2
• 12.5 Hour Days - Paid
• Day Shifts Only
• July Start - Ongoing

The Role:

The Blast Crew plays a crucial role in enabling productive mining or construction operations through expert handling of explosive materials and meticulous adherence to operational guidelines.

This role ensures the precise execution of drilling and blasting activities to facilitate the extraction of minerals or construction of infrastructure while adhering to strict safety standards and minimizing environmental impact.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Safely execute drilling and blasting operations following safety protocols
• Prepare blast patterns for efficient fragmentation and environmental protection
• Load explosives with precision and safety supervision
• Inspect blast areas for safety and environmental compliance
• Maintain blasting equipment and tools in optimal condition

The successful applicant will have:

• C Class Drivers Licence (Manual)
• Dangerous Goods Security Card
• Ability to perform labouring duties
• Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment

Desirables:

• Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence
• Blast Crew experience
