About the role
Tutop Bakery & Takeaway is seeking a dedicated and experienced Baker to join our busy and growing team. This is a full‑time position offering stability, long‑term career opportunity, and a supportive workplace environment.
We are known for producing high‑quality bread, pastries, and takeaway items for our local community, and we are expanding our production capacity to meet demand.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, and bake dough for breads, rolls, pastries, pies, and other baked products
- Operate and maintain commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, provers, and dough dividers
- Ensure all products meet quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Follow strict hygiene, food safety, and WHS procedures
- Monitor ingredient levels and assist with inventory ordering
- Assist in planning daily production schedules to meet customer demand
- Maintain cleanliness of baking areas, tools, and equipment
- Contribute positively to a supportive team environment
What we’re looking for
- A relevant qualification in baking, patisserie, or commercial cookery; or at least 1 year relevant work experience
- Solid hands‑on experience in commercial baking
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays where required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality
- Time management skills and ability to work independently during production
- Reliability, motivation, and willingness to contribute to a small team
