Auto Electrician – Forrestfield, WA
CJD Trucks has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician to join its team based in Forrestfield working with the world famous Kenworth & DAF Trucks.
Applicants with working experience in other capital equipment areas like Agricultural, Heavy Plant & Machinery along with applicants working in Automotive pre-delivery centers are also encouraged to apply.
Main /Duties
- Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical and electronic systems on Kenworth and DAF heavy vehicles including trucks, prime movers and trailers
- Carry out fault finding using manufacturer diagnostic software and scan tools
- Repair and install wiring looms, sensors, ECUs, Alternators, starter motors, lighting systems and accessories
- Accurately complete job cards, service reports and warranty documentation
- Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and dealership procedures
Requirements –
- Relevant trade qualification
- Ability to follow safe work practices as a priority within the workplace
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a high level of self-motivation and ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to investigate and problem solve a wide range of issues
- Have excellent computer skills both with standard PC programs and diagnostic equipment/programs
- Have an Air Conditioning Ticket (desirable)
- Willingness to support, mentor and train apprentices
