Asset Inspector

We’re currently seeking an Asset Inspector to join a council infrastructure team, focused on maintaining accurate and up-to-date data on civil assets across the region. This role is well suited to someone with a strong eye for detail, solid technical skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and document the condition of council and utility assets

• Capture and update asset data using GPS-based technology and asset systems

• Support the maintenance of the Asset Management System with accurate data

• Liaise professionally with stakeholders, internal teams, and the public

• Escalate any immediate safety risks identified during inspections

What You’ll Need

• Experience using GPS-based data collection tools and spatial systems (e.g., MapInfo)

• Competency with data entry, record keeping, and digital systems

• A current Class C driver’s licence

• Working knowledge of WHS principles and safe work practices

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
