About our Team

We work at the cutting edge of access technologies to deliver national security, support to military operations, and intelligence outcomes.

We value staff with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, and provide support and training—both formal and on-the-job—to develop mission specific skills and our staff more generally.

Our team comprises of a multi-disciplinary, integrated workforce that conducts in-depth Radio Frequency (RF) signals analysis of complex foreign communications systems, which can include reverse engineering radio frequency RF signals to discover underlying technology and foundational data associated with foreign capabilities that may harm Australian interests. With the outcomes from these teams routinely informing a diverse range of customer sets both nationally and internationally.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be intrinsically curious, imaginative, and not deterred by difficult challenges as they will need to overcome and defeat some of the most testing, ground breaking and formidable technologies and capabilities on the planet. Additionally, you will have an innate desire to challenge yourself as you persevere to investigate how highly technical communication and RF systems work with limited available information. We are looking for RF Signal Analysts to work across multiple missions within ASD and use their understanding of the RF spectrum, technical and analysis skills to work with others to achieve critical intelligence outcomes for Australia.

These roles will require you to possess strong skills in innovation and signals analysis to undertake complex collection, analysis, and production of signals intelligence. You will need to contribute, adapt and evolve often abstract and challenging concepts or ideas into new solutions, while also considering the potential application to broader systems and processes.

You will need to rely on your ability to draw links between team members’ skillsets, as you will recognise that some of the most difficult challenges, require teamwork and the precise application of all available knowledge, in order to be overcome.

While demonstrated RF technical experience would assist you in completing the functions of this role, we are highly interested in any candidate who has the attitude and aptitude to engage (and persevere) with complex problems and work within a multidisciplinary team to find creative solutions to complex and challenging problems.

If you have some of these skills and are looking for a new challenge that makes a significant and meaningfully positive contribution towards Australia’s National Security, we want to hear from you!
