We are looking for an Architectural Draftsperson to join the team! This is a full-time ongoing position, with 38 hours per week based in Stanmore, NSW.
Main tasks:
Drafting Responsibilities:
-Design and documentation for various project types.
-Prepare Sections, Elevations and details plan as required.
-Prepare Shadow Diagrams as required.
-Model existing and proposed buildings in SketchUP;
-Prepare submission drawings for clients and suppliers.
-Complete DA or CDC application forms, checklists and documents;
-Prepare Waste Management Plans.
-Research DA/CDC controls as applicable to project.
-Review and translate Sketchup drawings into AutoCAD;
-Liaise with the design team and a range of external stakeholders.
-Actively participate and interact with other members of the project team;
-Site Check Measure & Photographic Surveys.
-Assist junior or trainee draftsperson if required by Studio Team Leader or Principal Studio Director.
Design Responsibilities:
-Understand and adopt relevant codes & regulations in Australia i.e. Australian Standards, BCA & Fire Engineering; requirements & Building Consent Requirements/ Process.
-Take responsibility for the design development, detailed documentation and delivery of allocated projects including tender and ‘For Construction’ documentation.
-Liaison with PCA & Consultants.
-Joinery schedule preparation.
-Preparation & Delivery of Client Presentations.
-Take ownership of assigned tasks ensuring executed drawings are accurate, coordinated, compliant, functional, and buildable.
-Timely delivery of Documentation in accordance with agreed programs.
Council and Consultants:
-Letters/Correspondence to Council, certifiers and or clients.
-Lodge Development Applications at Council as required.
-Attend meetings with consultants, clients and Council if required by Studio Team Leader or Principal/Studio Director.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
-Minimum of a relevant Diploma or higher qualification
-At least 3 years' relevant industry experience

Annual salary will be between $76,515.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
