As the Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
  • Supporting and liaising with Visiting Medical Officers, Hospital Executive, and the respective Nurse Unit Managers of wards and departments
  • Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
  • Coordinating patient admissions/discharges/transfers
  • Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
  • Provides overarching management to the hospital after hours

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 years of Registered Nursing Mental Health experience in an acute setting
  • Recent inpatient mental health management experience at ANUM level or higher
  • Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
  • Ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios
  • Post Graduate Qualification in a mental health related discipline or management (desired)
  • Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements (desired)
