About the Technology Summer Intern Program

As a Technology Intern you will enjoy a fun and engaging 10 week internship.

We’ve got a variety of different domains & tribes within Technology, across areas like Security, Cloud, Data and Infrastructure, Technology Operations, Customer Experience, Data analysis and Software Engineering with a range of different roles where interns can gain experience from.

The program will expose you to a range of skill development opportunities within your role,  combined with dedicated learning sessions. You will have opportunities to meet and hear from some senior people across ANZ that you’ll love to learn from. We will support you with regular one-on-one catch ups with the Tech grad program managers, your team manager as well as the graduate alumni.

Tech underpins everything we do at ANZ, whether it's supporting the branch network or online with internet banking and mobile banking – we’re constantly adapting to what our customers and community need.

Some of the types of work you might get to do on the intern program include:

• Working across our platforms and often with global teams, to deliver automation and data analysis, supporting the enterprise by delivering great employee experience, business management and infrastructure as a service.
• Build amazing mobile experiences for iOS, Android or the web browser. Come and see how we deliver pixel perfect experiences to our customers whilst making sure our designs are accessible, brand compliant, and user-friendly.
• In the world of frequent security threats, learn how to protect ANZ customers and the bank.
• Having the opportunity to learn coding from the basics to complex algorithms, whilst developing your engineering career pathway.
• Exciting work with teams migrating our technology platforms to the cloud, limitless data analytics and a modern engineering environment, cloud is delivering a seismic shift inside ANZ.
• Join a range of learning bites sessions hosted by Talent and Culture and other Tech teams.

About You

We don’t know your name yet, but we do know that you’re curious, smart, driven and already have some great life experiences under your belt. And that is exactly what we want, along with a mix of backgrounds, opinions, ability to collaborate in a team environment, your passion and enthusiasm to learn and adopt our ANZ success behaviours in all aspects of working day life.

You consider yourself to be tech-savvy or are interested in exploring the non-technical side, such as translating the technical jargon into easy-to-understand English for our customers.

Suitable Applicants

If you are studying through a tertiary institution, this internship is for you! Whether you’re studying an Information Technology (IT) specific course or Business Management – we are open to people who have diverse backgrounds and are committed to exploring the world of Tech.

Please ensure you meet the current eligibility requirements:

• A citizen of, or hold permanent residency in, Australia or New Zealand; and
• In your penultimate or 2nd last year of study of your bachelor or post-graduate degree.
